I just left the Victoria branch and had to leave a review! I met Kasia and Hari, and they were both absolutely wonderful. I’m extremely scared of blood and needles—they usually make me feel sick or pass out . Hari was so gentle and reassuring while taking my blood sample, and Kasia did an amazing job keeping me distracted and helping me stay calm throughout the whole process. It’s so refreshing to meet staff who are not only professional but also genuinely kind, caring, and committed to providing excellent customer service. They made what is usually a very stressful experience so much easier for me. Thank you both for your kindness and compassion. Because of the way I was treated today, I’ll definitely be recommending the Victoria branch to anyone I know who needs blood tests done!!!!!

How To Read Your Laboratory Results

Your results will list your values alongside standard reference ranges. If a result falls outside the range, it is noted for review. Important: A single out-of-range value does not automatically indicate a medical problem. Results must be assessed in conjunction with your medical history and clinical examination.

Most Searched Online Questions About PCOS

What exactly is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)?
PCOS is a common hormonal disorder characterized by irregular menstrual cycles, excessive androgen levels, and often the presence of multiple small cysts on the ovaries.
Why is insulin resistance linked to PCOS?
Insulin resistance prevents cells from using insulin effectively, prompting the body to produce more. High insulin levels can increase androgen production, worsening PCOS symptoms.
How does PCOS affect fertility?
The hormonal imbalances in PCOS can interfere with the growth and release of eggs from the ovaries, making ovulation irregular and thereby making it more difficult to conceive.
What are normal testosterone levels for women?
While all women produce some testosterone, normal levels are generally quite low. Elevated testosterone is a primary driver behind symptoms like acne and excessive body hair in PCOS patients.
Can PCOS be cured?
There is currently no absolute cure for PCOS, but its symptoms can be highly effectively managed through lifestyle changes, diet, weight management, and specific medical treatments.
