I just left the Victoria branch and had to leave a review! I met Kasia and Hari, and they were both absolutely wonderful. I’m extremely scared of blood and needles—they usually make me feel sick or pass out . Hari was so gentle and reassuring while taking my blood sample, and Kasia did an amazing job keeping me distracted and helping me stay calm throughout the whole process. It’s so refreshing to meet staff who are not only professional but also genuinely kind, caring, and committed to providing excellent customer service. They made what is usually a very stressful experience so much easier for me. Thank you both for your kindness and compassion. Because of the way I was treated today, I’ll definitely be recommending the Victoria branch to anyone I know who needs blood tests done!!!!!

Component Index

What Is Included?

This profile evaluates the primary hormonal factors responsible for female reproductive health and fertility.

Cycle & Ovulation Regulators

Evaluates the primary hormones responsible for the growth of ovarian follicles and the triggering of ovulation.

Luteinizing Hormone (LH)
Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
Clinical focus:
Identifying imbalances that can affect ovarian function, menstrual cycle regularity, and overall fertility.

Reproductive Support Hormones

Measures the key hormones that support a healthy reproductive system and prepare the uterine lining for implantation.

Estradiol (E2)
Progesterone (PRG)
Clinical focus:
Assessing estrogen levels and verifying if progesterone is sufficient to maintain early pregnancy.

Hormonal Intermediates

Checks for hormones that can inadvertently suppress normal reproductive functions when levels are elevated.

Prolactin (PRL)
Clinical focus:
Detecting high prolactin levels which can interfere directly with healthy ovulation and menstrual cycles.

Understanding Hormonal Balance

Fertility depends on a precise, synchronized interaction between multiple hormones. FSH and LH orchestrate the release of an egg, while Estradiol and Progesterone ensure the uterus is prepared for a successful implantation. Abnormalities in any of these markers, or elevated levels of Prolactin, can disrupt this cycle, providing clear clinical targets for fertility specialists to address.

Pathology Reports

How To Read Your Laboratory Results

Your results will list your hormone values alongside standard reference ranges, which often vary depending on the specific phase of your menstrual cycle. If a result falls outside the expected range for that phase, it is noted for review. A single out-of-range value should be interpreted alongside your medical history and clinical examination.

Results Timeline: Profile metrics are processed rapidly and are typically available within just 4 hours.

Most Searched Online Questions About Fertility Hormones

What causes irregular menstrual cycles?
Irregular cycles can be caused by hormonal imbalances, stress, extreme weight changes, or underlying conditions like PCOS. Testing your hormones helps pinpoint the exact cause.
What is the role of FSH and LH?
FSH stimulates the growth of ovarian follicles before the release of an egg, while a surge in LH triggers the actual process of ovulation during your cycle.
Why is Progesterone important for fertility?
Progesterone is crucial because it prepares the uterine lining to receive a fertilized egg and helps maintain a healthy environment during early pregnancy.
Can high Prolactin affect fertility?
Yes, abnormally high levels of prolactin can suppress the production of other reproductive hormones, interfering with normal ovulation and your menstrual cycle.
What does Estradiol do?
